Warrior Women Defend Kurdish City

Today, the Kurdish city of Kobani, located in Syria near the Turkish border, is the site of a major battle between Syrian Kurds and the so-called Islamic State, ISIS.  But did you know that many of the soldiers fighting against ISIS in Kobani are women?

If you just look at the numbers, there is no reason why Kobani should still be standing.  There is no reason why it should have still been standing two weeks ago.  The Kurdish forces are woefully outnumbered and outgunned by ISIS militants.  One of the main reasons why they have not yet fallen is the women fighting.

The misogynistic and otherwise bat*** crazy ISIS militants may recruit women to fight on their side, but they reel at the idea of being killed by women.
